The two other reasons pushing me to pay the extra now was that Carvana was offering a stupid price for my wife's 6 year old 100k mile Nissan Versa. Basically waiting for more than a month to get one at MSRP is equivalent to paying $1,500 over sticker now. At this point, that means you would get a 2022 at MSRP, which is going to have a $1,500 bump on the MSRP. I had a few dealers offer to put me on a list at MSRP, but that was 3-6 months out. Major congrats to the people buying them at MSRP, that is great. $2k without extra fees is about the best "out the door" price I saw, and I called about 20 dealerships. There were a few better deals to be had if I settled for another color, closer to $2k markup without the bogus fees. I really wanted a Prime SE, with weather, in Blueprint, and that is what I got (MAJOR tip of the hat to the person posting the allocation list, that is how I found mine). I was $2,995 over MSRP + some bogus $800 fee from the dealership. I'm in Ohio, and just purchased an SE out of Maryland this week.
